The 1 mile road race will start at 6pm from the bottom end of the rowing lake following a straight line to the finish.
The Fun Run starts at 6:45pm and starts and finishes at the finish line.
10 mile race starts at 7.15pm and starts at the opposite side of the lake to the finish.
Please arrive early if you are planning on entering the 10 mile race on the day.
Entries on the day will be inside the main building.
If you are using a Sat Nav to find us, we advise that you use the name ‘National Water Sports Centre’ rather than the postcode as some Sat Navs will direct you to Colwick Race Course as opposed to the Centre. That will leave you on the other side of the river!
Please note that the start position for the 10 mile race changed in 2015. It is now on the opposite side of the lake to the finish. Please see the map below for more information.
Car parking is available in car park B along Adbolton Lane. If you choose to leave straight after you have raced, please be aware of other runners who may have not yet finished.
The car park is a short walk to the finish and registration points, but please note the new start position.
We will be using the PA system to play a few tunes whilst your run so please leave your I pods at home. DSQ for those who do not abide by this rule.
Part of the course is on a public road and we ask you to keep to the left hand side at all times.
If you expect to run the race in over 90 minutes, we kindly ask you to be aware of the lead car and runners who will be lapping you between 3.5 and 5 miles. The race is becoming much more competitive with a lot of people running under 1 hour. The section of the course between 3.5 and 5 miles is where we really require your co-operation.
Please be considerate and stay alert whilst running on roads open to traffic.
Nottingham brewery will be supplying us with some ale for the event and all finishers. If you do wish to drink, please think about how you intend to get home. It is strongly recommended that you hydrate properly after the race before drinking any alcohol.
Be sensible and have a fantastic evening
